bula bula! got into fiji this morning, and despite it being 6am there were 4 men in skirts with guitars waiting to sing to us and shouting bula. stormer. then we noticed a big sign next to them saying BEWARE THE GIANT AFRICAN SNAIL, which was slightly less reassuring! hadn't booked anywhere to stay but almost immediately found a friendly gay fijian who gave us a hostel that was very suitable for us. its right on the beach and has hammocks (which tpo hilariously keeps falling out of) and free fijian breakfast, loving it so far so may stay a few more nights. probably gonna go find the nice beaches later today, then maybe try and get to some of the smaller islands tomorrow for a look round. quite tired now after the 10 hour flight (still havn't really had much sleep!) so might just chill out in the hammocks for a while. le u would love it here, havn't found the kfc yet but it has loads of beer, hammocks, tv and rugby, all the essentials.

spent the last couple of days in LA doing pretty much the same, decided we didn't really want to go to hollywood so spent most of the time in hermosa. went up to santa monica on the last day via venice, but we couldnt find anywhere to leave the massive unwieldy bags so caused quite alot of mayhem on the bus, quite lucky not to get shot by the large tattooed alex les whose toes we were treading on. santa monica was pretty much the same as hermosa but with more tourists and smog, so quite glad we stayed out of town most of the time! better get back to lying in the hammock, tpo has probably fallen out again and needing help. leave us some messages! laters
