Okay so I laughed out loud at the prune story! Nobody would be pleased about being served prune sauce if they are expecting chocolate! Although I would be very pleased to be served prune sauce if I was expecting duck pate.
Sounds like you are doing an amazing job of already seeing so many places!....although many of them I have never heard of, much less figured out how to pronounce. I will have to look them up in my France guidebooks (which by the way, I successfully renewed online this morning you will be happy to know). We will have to count on you to be our official tour guide next summer.
Thanks also for the email....keep them coming..and post more photos!
Love you,
Mom

Oh hey I can comment after all! Paris sounds entertaining. Zach thinks I talk too loud. And he is Alaskan which is close enough to being from a different country. But most people have a hard time hearing me. So who knows what I should do. What would your ideal government be anyways? Also, exciting developments:
*Somebody (Guess who) is suspended for a day for putting other kids in headlocks multiple times. And today we made leaf prints (Which was my idea, thanks) and it was a big hit and everybody's turned out amaaaazing. Annnd we will be implementing Power Hour and Cleanup Captains on Monday.
*Me and Zach decided we are going to take joint piano lessons.
*It is freeeeeezing here. And has been alternating between fog and pouring down rain.
*I have decided I am taking tomorrow off from school to rest and rehabilitate. Because there was way lots of drama today in all areas of everything.
That's all. And have fun in Paris and send me postcards and tell me about your ideal government. Phew. Aurevoir. Or something similar to that.

I was impressed with myself since I understood your French sentences, only to find out I spelled Bonjour incorrectly.....but I think I copied it from Melinda! I NEVER spoke in French class and we didn't have speaking tests in class like the kids do now, so I would have not done so well in a conversational class. Anne laughed at all my attempted pronounciations when I quizzed her before her tests.

Beth: I am trying again to communicate with you and hope that this one gets through. It annoys me that Lorraine can Blog you and I can't. I find that I am hanging on to every word and almost feel that I am back in Paris once again. Sounds like you have a terrific varied schedule, and are coping, which, of course, I would expect of you. Love Grandpa
Mom
Hi again Beth,
Great job keeping us all updated with your exciting life in Paris! We are all a little jealous I think. Hopefully you will get the internet fixed at your house soon so emailing is more convenient for you...especially if the parks have free wi-fi but it will be getting dark earlier as time goes on.
I would be in crisis-mode if I was taking your classes...the Proust and philosophy classes would either bore me to sleep or overwhelm me with "seriousness"....the only one that sounds fun is French conversation but I would fail that one for sure! Guess I should just go to Paris as a tourist...and I would try to not talk too loud!
Note to Sarah & others that I DO have a Facebook profile, but only because I wanted to see how it worked and it made me make a profile, and even then I couldn't see anybody's business because I had no 'friends'. Samantha is my only Facebook friend! So no confusion on me being a creepy internet stalker mom! I don't even remember my password! Just wanted to straighten that out!
Beth, we miss you and love you and are so glad to be able to share in your adventures! Keep blogging! Love, Mom xxoo

Hey Beth,
It sounds like everything has gone really well so far, I'm glad to hear that! You'll catch up on your sleep and settle-in in no time, but then there are so many other confusing places to travel on the weekends.
Keep posting, you have quite a fan base for blog day 1.
p.s. do we have to do math every time?

Hi Beth,
This blog is so cool! It sounds like you're settling in easily, which is great! You've met so many people already - and all your exploring! I am very jealous and look forward to following your adventures. No need to send postcards with this great blog!
Have fun! Have one of those chocolate croissants for me! Enjoy the Louvre. I hope to get back there one day!

Hi Beth: Your Grandpa said he couldn't send you a message after reading your wonderful account of your trip and adventures so far. I am trying this to make sure I have it right! Your pictures are just great. We almost feel like we are there with you. Don't recall you mentioned the weather, but since you have been getting around so much assume it has been pretty good. Look forward to hearing more about classes, etc.
Kevin
J'ai oublie cette blog jusqu'a maintennant, mais J'ai te vu heir donc tout est bien. Je trouve que c'est interessant que tu a ecrit tous les phrases en anglais sauf "Parce que j'aime bien les aventures de crêpes." Was that on purpose, or are you just randomly switching between languages without realizing it? Wow, I just did that. Alors, j'ai aussi oublie de faire une CD "Yellowcard" pour tu, mais je crois que j'ai trop de Yellowcard pour juste un CD. Veut tu une CD mp3, ou deux CDs audios?
Je t'adore!
Kevin

Oh, Beth! It sounds like a wonderful adventure...and I feel like I'm right along with you (only I don't have to try to speak French, which is a good thing since I took Spanish in high school and even that was a long time ago). Enjoy your trip...and keep up the journal...it will be great for you to look back on and remember your adventures.
Kate
This reminds me of the crepes we had in the summer! are your classes in english or french? what classes are you taking?
