Aren't you glad Karen told you to try a chocolate croissant? Now you have time to enjoy lots more. The bread there is the best I have ever had and I know you love bread.I didn't know about the place with the bones but I think I can skip that one. The art museun in Amsterdam is great! How do you do laundry?(sorry, once a mom, always a mom)

This is my second post because I hadn't yet looked at the photos when I posted the other one. WOW...what cool things you are seeing! And I have to also have to say that that while I agree with Lindsay that the catacombs are gross, they also kind of fascinate me in a gruesome kind of way so I want to go see them! I don't think Sarah is going to like them.
Anyway, your photos are amazing! It looks like you had a perm or curled your hair or something. Other than that you still look like you, thank goodness. No tatoos or body piercings that are visible at least! Really though, the places you are seeing look so cool...I definitely want to go to that St. Chappelle place to see the windows! That Proust guy must have been someone special if they are still leaving flowers for him...too bad I'd never heard of him til two weeks ago.
Paris looks absolutely WONDERFUL. I am so glad you are there to see it! love, Mom

Exactly how MANY chocolate croissants did you consume that day???
I am actually at the Redmond library checking email...how devoted and/or pathetic is that?? The internet at home isn't working and I spent an hour on the phone with the comcast man who finally gave up and said I should call Microsoft...meanwhile half of the computer is dismantled. So unfortunately I may not be able to check for your blogs every five minutes like I normally do!
Have a good time in Amsterdam! Most people I know who have been there (okay, maybe three people) all say it is a great city. Take lots of photos. Maybe it would be a good idea to send us an email with the name of the hostel you will be staying just to be safe.
Love you! Mom xxoo
Lindsay
The Catacombs sound like the worst idea in the history of ever. And gross. And probably something I will never tour.
Dad
A few more hours and it's weekend again for you! Everyone is wondering what you have planned. Will she bust out the rail pass for weekend #2?
It sounds like things are going well so that is great.
I had to go to court yesterday and stand in front of the Judge. They seem to think I ran a red light - but no jail time so that is good.
Anyway, have a great weekend, I'll look forward to your update.
Sue
Hey!
Erin was home this weekend for fall break too. We had a good time. Friday was Mark's birthday so we had a family party for him, Sat Erin and I went bug collecting for her biology bug collection (which I thought was great fun, but she's not too fond of bugs), Sunday the 3 of us took a 25 mile bike ride from Johnstown to Granville and we had delicious homemade Ohio soft custard, Monday we did some shopping and Tues before Erin went back to Wooster we had lunch with Nean. Anne had the same fall break but she was studying in Walla Walla trying to catch up on all of the stuff she missed when she couldn't read due to her concussion. It sounded like she took some fun study breaks at least. That's about all the news here. Looking forward to the pictures and more blogs! (Anne is reading Plato also).
Aunt Virginia
It's very fun reading about your time in Paris...I didn't realize there was so much to see and do there. You can tell I haven't done much travelling. I've never been anywhere that people didn't speak English!
Kate was home this weekend for fall break. She did some laundry and left it in the dryer, so I had to send it to her UPS. With her replacement credit card because she lost hers. She's turning into Paul!
Maybe some day we'll get to Paris...Uncle Bob liked it there a lot, but he only got to spend a weekend.
Lorraine
I can't tell you how much I enjoy reading all about your experiences in Paris. Actually, I feel breathless when I'm done reading! Of course, mostly I enjoy it when you talk about seeing some places that your Grandfather and I saw! Brings back memories. One of the lunches we enjoyed was going to a bakery that had sandwiches and they used those wonderful french rolls, crisp on the outside and very little dough inside. Keep the advertures coming!

Well I don't know if a cheese crepe really sounds appetizing, but other than that (and the prune sauce, and you talking to creepy old men in the park, and learning bad words) it sounds like you are having a good time. Really it sounds like you are a troublemaker. I would be interested in reading Plato sometime but not taking a class. That would be boring.
I do hope you get your absentee ballot, but I don't think it'll be the end of the world if your vote doesn't get in. It's looking like some sweet domination right now!
I think Samantha e-mailed you last night so maybe she told you everything I could possibly write about, but I'll still probably try to e-mail you this weekend.
I just read the last three posts (all the posts since the first one) but now I don't remember all the details from all of them so I can't remember what to comment on.
I actually really enjoy doing the math problems when I write a comment. It's definitely a lot more fun than the usual "copy the random illegible letters in the picture" deal.
Lindsay
More messages from me! I finally got a different math problem, up until now they have all been 5+3.
Extra Comment: Salut! Sounds very harsh as a greeting. I think you should try no exclamation point next time. Or separate with a few words. "Salut, mes amis!" in example, is much more mellow. But "Salut!" is just like I am being commanded to jump to attention and salute the screen or something. And then I have to relax all over again.
Update: I decided today that the kids need a new seating (Hahah, the first time I put "arranghart.") arrangement/chart. Because right now it is a mess. And I just spent 2 1/2 hours trying to figure it out (But also watching TV and eating). Here is my criteria:
-Koralee and Kayleigh and Natasha need to be in a triangle, one at each table, as far away as they can get, for talking purposes.
-Connor needs to be on an edge where he has plenty of room to stand and not get in anyone's way - Because he can't learn to sit down.
-Connor needs to be across the room from Sam.
-Maneesh needs to be across the room from Aditya (And Ayan needs to be as far from them as possible).
-Joey needs to be across the room from Autumn. And they need to be the farthest apart of all.
-Jack needs to be away from people who will prompt him to push/shove/fight out of annoyance. But it's not of really big importance, cause he always leaves at recess.
-Derek needs to be by quiet kids.
-Joey needs to be by patient and understanding kids.
-Joey needs to be by the garbage, so he can throw things away from his seat and not make a mess of the whole room.
-Joey needs to be somewhere where his new required aide (!!!) can sit by him.
I managed to fix all that, and also arrange for an equal number of boys and girls at each table, annd ensure efficient mingling between Alcott and Emily Dickinson kids. Which I think makes me a genius. Here is the solution:
The end. Good grief. Check my criteria and tell me if I missed something, or if you know of a problem that might come up, okay?
Grandpa Ruf
I look for a new blog about three times a day and got all excited whenI found the one you wrote yesterday. Sounds like a grea weekend. I printed it out for grandma to read when she gets home from work. Today, she is working as a volunteer at a gift shop in the morning and as a clerk in the gift shop at the hospital in the afternoon. That means I am the cook and we are in for a "one star" dinner. Keep up the great job sharing all the details of your adventure.
