The King has kindly asked me to stay longer in this great castle. He said, "Then these three days, I will ride out hunting in the forest. But you, who have travelled far and endured many things, shall abide in my castle and rest at your ease. And my wife shall attend on you, and entertain you with her company when i am out hunting" (90). I appreciate his kindness and admire a man that trusts his wife enough to leave her with another while he's away. He also made a bargain with me, saying that he would bring me whatever he kills while out hunting as long as i give him whatever i obtain in the castle. On the morning of the first day, the lady of the castle came and sat on the bed next to me and we talked for awhile. She spoke many words of love but i refused to return them, knowing a true knight shows courtesy. She did however ask for a kiss, so i said yes, and when the lord of the castle arrived with his spoils for me, i gave him the kiss that i had won.
