We flew to Cairns on Sunday, deciding on the flight instead of driving, as I did not fancy the 2,500km journey on outback roads. We were also told that the petrol is really expensive in the outback, as there are few places to refill, and you are essentially forced to buy it if you need it, because you're miles away from anywhere! Well we're in Darwin Australia now, and got here 2 days ago, in the middle of the night, which was a fairly unpleasant experience! We arrived to news that a month of rainfall fell the previous day, and leaving the airport terminal we were hit by a fresh, warm and tropical air. It's nice here, but even warmer than Bali. We decided to be a little adventurous yesterday and cooked ourselves, which was mainly me, as Stuart doesn't know a microwave from a fridge, and ...
