So the date has come..my birthday! And from the way I'd spend christmas and NYE I was quite dreading my birthday in case it was a let down like the other two events. Dave is now in Sydney, so wise words from my friend Maria (whose away in Melbourne) told me to just rely on Dave and my friend dan (who I'd spent Xmas with) & anyone else who makes effort is a bonus! The day started with Sigrid (Estonian-lived together in maze) taking me for a LOVELY breakfast at a local cafe! I then had a nap and got ready to meet friends. My ex from redditch (Andy) has a girl friend called Jo who I used to get along well with, shes in Sydney at the moment and remembered my birthday so joined the celebrations-along with Matty another friend I met in cairns, Katy who I met through Simon and Billy a friend I used to work with. Dan treated me to steak and cider at a local Irish pub then him and Dave took me for a few drinks at bar century, we then went back to the maze to join Katy and drink then go to Q bar on Oxford st. The event tonight was called teen spirit-all music from the 90s so just my type of music, all the cheesy stuff! I met Jenny and Kate down there where they gave me a beautiful necklace with 3 charms on-kangaroo, boomerang and harbour bridge, I was chuffed! We partied all night and I caught the first train home back to marrickville where I'm living with Kate and Jo (maggies daughters). They bought me a $100 voucher for dinner on the 360 sky tower restaurant, which was v generous! All in all I had a fantastic birthday!
