Hellooooo! Sitting here in a internet cafe next to our guest house watching the tuk tuks whizz past. Am really loving Thailand, bangkok is crazy but I like it!I feel alot safer than i thought i would, there are backpackers everywhere and everyones really friendly. Lots of tourist police too.

Flight was really good, would definitely recommend Qantas for long haul- they even gave me hot choc with marshmallows in to help me get to sleep (that scores 5*s in my book!). Think also it was partly to do with thanking god that I was on the flight- mums car broke down half way to manc airport so had to get a taxi- was quite dramatic!

Guesthouse is really clean and nice. Is really great having air con (thanks for tip fflur), didn't realise it'd be this humid, but its lovely and hot though. Went out last night and had a meal for a pound each-was delicious. Larry's loving the Chang beer- large bottles for 70p so we were a bit worse for wear last night celebrating our arrival.

Went to the Grand Palace today and to the markets, check out my photos of the palace. I've never seen anything like it, was so beautiful and GOLD! Was majorly packed with tourists though so was a bit crazy.

We've just booked our night train to Koh Samui for the 27th- 1st class (i think that just means a non plastic seat). Decided against flying because it's peak season, everywheres heaving and the flights are all booked up. Should be quite an experience!

Can't wait to hit those beaches! We're off to the tailors this afternoon to try and haggle some suits.

p.s. im afraid i lost the bet of who'd get ill 1st, woke up this morning very sick but think it was from the heat (or maybe the never ending flow of beer!), am fine now though.
