Gooday! I am now in beautiful Oz! Realised I hadn't updated this for a while...
Singapore was interesting but there wasn't all that much to do there. We went on a night safari which was kool and quite scary. We also went to Sentosa Island, which is Singapore's holiday island with fake beaches etc. I really wanted to swim with the pink dolphins there but it was really expensive for only half an hour. We settled on going to the underwater world aquarium and dolphin lagoon to watch the show. When they asked for volunteers in the show, I shot my hand up and waved it around like a right looney but I got picked! It was sooooo amazing, I had to hula hoop whilst the dolphin hula hooped on its nose, then I swam with it and hugged it and made it twirl around and got a big kiss but it squirted water in my face! It was really good fun and made my day (especially as it was all for free- yipee!). I think Larry was a bit embarrassed . We finished our trip to asia with a delicious Singapore Sling in the plush Raffles hotel.
Our last few days in Malaysia were nice,we went on a night river trip to see the fireflies, it was really beautiful.
Now we've been in Oz since Thursday, its been mixed weather because its rainy season but the sun was out in full force yesterday and was gorgeous. Really love oz already, everyone is so friendly and relaxed.
We've decided that we both want to do different things in oz. Larrys going to work on a scuba diving boat for a while and I'm doing the oz experience down to sydney, starting on thursday- can't wait! I think Larry's going home in a few weeks too, so my plans have dramatically changed......... I'm doing the oz experience (which is a hop on hop off tour bus for backpackers, with lots included like surf camp and cattle ranching- yeeha!) for 6 weeks, then mum and dad are flying out and I'm doing all the east coast again with them for another 6 weeks. I'm really excited as it means I can stay in oz for 3 months . Then, I might just go to nz for a few weeks then to fiji and home but we'll have to wait and see.
I've booked a 3 day cruise around the Whitsundays and a 4wd camping trip on Fraser Island. Larry and I are going to hire a car and head up to Cape Trib and Port Douglas on Monday, then I'm doing extreme white water rafting and some snorkelling. Very excited.
I've met some really nice people so far and even shared a dorm with 3 girls who were taught by Hippo's mum, and went for some drinks with the best friends of Ben Davey from my maths course, so it's a very small world!
Hope you're all well and enjoy St. Patricks day.
