Hello! Gosh can't believe I haven't updated this for ages but the time has just flown! I have just had the best 3 weeks of my life and its all gone way too fast :-( Right well i guess i should begin right at the top........
Cairns- i had a great time here and met some gorgeous irish girls who took me under their wing and showed me how st. paddys day should really be celebrated! ive just met up with them here in brisbane because they're staying just 2 roads away from my family's house. I went extreme white water rafting which was incredible and sooooo much fun. I also did a bungy swing which was great fun too. Then i represented Wales in the Sumo Wrestling championships in a bar one night- we had to wear those big fat suits and I won $50 bar tab ( you'd be so proud dad!).
I hopped on the oz bus and met some lovely people and went trekking on magnetic island with them for 2 days.
We made our way down to airlie beach and i lazed by the lagoon for a few days whilst i waited for my tallship adventure to begin! I sailed on the Derwent Hunter for 3days and 2 nights around the whitsundays and had a fabulous time with good food, beautiful views and fantastic company. I even slept on deck with the crew and watched the moon set behind hook island ( which i never realised actually happened- but it did at 5 am!zzzzz). the stars were really beautiful too. we did lots of snorkelling in our sexy, lycra stinger suits and saw cute turtles and tropical fish on the reef.
Whitehaven beach as AMAZING!!! its the most beautiful place ive ever seen abd look just like the photos. Check it out on google if you dont know what i mean. its the purest beach in the world with 98% silica. when theres lightening, glass sculptures are created. I cleverly put my camera in the sea and broke it so ill have to find another way of putting those pics up here.
Next stop was Kroombit cattle station where i learnt how to be a true cowgirl (granny cov would have loved it! yeeha!). We learnt how to crack the whip and rode the bucking bull. We rose early in the morning and rounded up the cattle by horseback. Then we did some goat wrestling.... well they did, I just screamed and ran away
Me and my friends Nina, Shane and El then went on to Hervey Bay where you get the ferry to the famous Fraser sand island. Me and nina had booked to hire a 4wd with 9 other randoms and camp out on the beach for 2 nights and explore the island. This was the best 3 days of my life, i had so much fun and made 10 great friends. We were so lucky that we were put with really compatible people (many of the other groups fell out). We explored the island by day and had lots of fun swapping drivers and getting stuck in the sand. We had a big party on the beach and i got stuck with the tent with 5 stinky guys (i thought i'd booked the penthouse?!) but it was all good fun. we then awoke to find that we had to move off the beach because of the tsunami warning ( i thought this was a delayed april fools but oh no....) and had to wait around a bit on higher ground. Later that day we got stuck down a track on the way to lake Allom (maybe my fault because i wanted to see the baby turtles) and couldn't be rescued for a few hours because of the tides- so we raided the beer cooler and it all turned into a bit of a party !
We all became good friends and decided to hang around for a day or two together at hervey bay and plan our reunion......
So I made my way down to Brisbane where I've spent a lovely easter weekend with my relatives (they have a hairdryer and duvets..... )
Am heading to surfers paradise to meet up with my friend shane and maybe travel down to sydney with him and a few others, stopping at surf camp at byron on the way.
Sorry if this is the longest update known to man and its really boring, i just have way too much to say as per usual!!!
Hope you all have a fantastic easter and are all well
