Sunday 17 Aug.
After final packing and checking that we had everything, we left Bendigo at around 9.30pm for Tullarmarine, checking in was quick, god I am always glad to offload the suitcases, then through to customs, another fast track, duty free, nah! didn't want anything there, finally boarding the plane at 1.30am
Monday18 Aug
First leg of the flight was to Kuala Lumpur and as the plane was not full I managed to find a row of 4 seats that were vacant and took possession and slept most of the way, arriving after a 7 hour flight we had to leave the plane for an hour and re-board for the next leg to Dubai, which was a 6 1/2 hour flight, This time we had to leave the plane and go through security to get to another boarding gate, and believe me for a country that has so much wealth and infrastructure, security was a nightmare, finally getting through to find that our plane to Heathrow was already in the boarding stage, definitley not happy as this airport is shopping heaven.
Flight to Heathrow was for just over 7 hours and all was going well until some little girl decided to throw a screaming hissy fit and she never stopped.
Once arriving and collecting our cases our next mission was to work out the underground, after a few wrong turns we found where to buy tickets and what line to take, arriving in Paddington with ease. Our hotel is just across the road from the station, so no problems there, booked in, relax and a quick shower then to bed for a good nights sleep
