I am really behind but it seems as though we have been on the move forever, the day after the weddding the day dawned to another day of rain, after breakfast we decided to go window shopping (new word for us, which means we are not going to spend money) so we just walked for hours and hours, getting a little bit wet but eventually ended up walking along the beach, which was beautiful. finally back to the hotel and caught up with Darren for the last time before we leave. then back to the room to pack our suitcases.
We had arranged to meet Peter's sisters for dinner and due to the rain decided to test the restaraunt in our hotel out. so after a few rounds of cocktails we started dinner, which was surprisingly good. after dinner the rain was easing and it was too early in the night to say goodbye we ventured out into the streets and made our way down to Bangalore Road to just see what it was like at night, well it was pretty full on and sad at the same time, just to realize how some people have to live to survive. we decided we had had enough and the got a "tuck tuck" back to the hotel. final goodbye to Carolyn, Tania and Sheree
Friday 28th September, up very early to leave for the airport for our flight back to Singapore. Jetstar are amazing and never cease to surprise me, we asked for 3 seats together and after a lot of research by 2 staff members behind the counter, advised us that they couldn't do that but we would be near each other, well we boarded and Chrissy had an aisle seat and behind her I had an aisle seat and across from me, Peter had 3 seats all to himself, go figue!!! Flight is only 90 minutes and not long after we were in our hotel at Changi Aiport, we were booked into the Crowne Plaza and what a beautiful hotel, while Peter slept we did the look over the hotel, the swimming pool was on the 3rd floor and was amazing, one section had glass in it and you could see way down to the lobby area, while we were there the staff were setting up for a wedding, then down to the lobby for coffee and cake, then back to the room to get Peter ready for the flight home to Melbourne, would you believe after we got him booked in and said goodbye and watched him go through the door and to make sure he went the right way to his plane, went back to our room and we actually overlooked his plane, so with the help of Chrissies camera we were actually able to see him board the plane, sigh of relief to know that he was O'K.
