The wedding day had arrived, woke up early to the sound of pouring rain, I couldn't believe it! the skies were heavy with dark clouds and not a break in the clouds to be seen, every one kept telling us that when it rains like this it usually clears up later in the day. I think I must have prayed to every god there was, but all we got was constant rain, Peter left early to go up to the villa and we stayed behind and got ready, finally we arrived at the villa around 4.30pm to be greeted by this beautiful baby elephant, who got very excited with all the attention and even climbed the stairs to follow us inside. Just after 5.00pm the bridesmaids appeared and then Tanya with both her parents, she looked lovely and despite everything very happy, the ceremony was very moving and both mothers were witness's on the marriage certificate. When it came to the rings they were given to the elephant and would you believe he took the small boxes in his trunk and gave them to the best man. one very clever elephant. ceremony over we all went inside for drinks and finger food while all the family photos's were taken, still raining but by this time only very light, dinner was held later and speeches done, A great day was had by all of us and by around 10.00 we all started to depart.
