Hey ! I'm Betina and this is my blog from my student exchange spring in Kasetsart University, Bangkok. My student exchange was organized by Asia Exchange (AE), which provides study programs at Asian universities for students or graduates from Western countries. For more information, www.asiaexchange.org. I'll be writing mainly about my life here in BKK, but also about all the trips we're going to make. Hopefully I can give some tips about living and studying in Thailand. But first, I thought it would be good say something about applying to the exchange program and organizing the trip. I chose to apply via Asia Exchange, because it made it possible for me to apply with a friend. Also, it was a quick and easy alternative to apply the same university that my home university has a bilateral deal with. The problem is that via my home university, the places to these universities are very limited and quite hard to get. With the help of AE, I am now studying at the same university ! The process of applying via AE was very easy: after only a week of sending my application, I already got my acceptance letter and some information about the exchange program. After receiving the acceptance letter, there are quite a lot of things to take care of! The most important (in my opinion) are reserving the flights, taking care of your travelers' insurance and vaccinations, applying for your visa, the paper work with your university etc. I just made a long list and started taking care of these things, the sooner the better ! AE provides an information package, which contains a list of things to do before the trip, which was quite helpful. If you have any questions, just ask ! Next time I'll be writing more about the actual trip ! PS. I <3 Bangkok
