So here we are in New Zealand, and South America is a distant memory!! Uploaded photos at last so have a look and let me know what you think of our miserable faces!!
We spent a few days in Auckland, wasn't too impressed by the city, but we set off on our big green kiwi experience tour bus and the landscape is amazing. The people are lovely here, spent a large amount of time last night in a little pub getting to know the older locals and of course talk about Rugby. I hear we beat the French in the 6 Nations. Hurrah!!!
So far we have been caving on rubber rings, which involved a lot of jumping backwards in the dark off waterfalls. Fear and more Fear!! But lot of fun. We also did a boat trip to see the wild dolphins which was pretty damn cool I must say.
We also went on a local geyser tour and then the men in the group learnt to do the haka whilst the girls learnt this dance with balls on the end of string and we had to sing, I was most embarressed. Most sexist, the haka looked far more fun!! We then had to perform to each other. Cringe alert!!
Local beer and wine is good and they often have games which if you win you get money off, eg, rock, scissors, paper with the barman.
Weather is getting slowly worse, the more South we get, but apparently it is 40 degrees in Australia. So another 18 days in NZ, then Aus, then Japan and China. Everywhere we go seems so short, but am really looking forward to China - thanks Ken for your tips, will be avoiding the duckling!!
Take Care all, lovely to hear from you! x x x
