Today Dan and I woke early and headed down to breakfast, we took a look at the Gadventures board to find our names were not on the trip list, after panicking some what we discovered we were in fact in the wrong hotel to meet the group! Our hotel quickly got us transferred to the right one to meet the group at 6PM.
We ventured out into Bangkok via Tuk tuk, the Asian way of getting about! After having several near misses with cars, our driver finally dropped us off at "The Grand Palace". Beautiful buildings and temples where the King was resident and the government work.
Following this we ventured to "Wat pho", home of the reclining Buddha. This is a very religious place and as you will see Dan was required to where "Elephant pants" out of respect! Also home of the ashes belonging to a hundred Buddhas and golden statue Buddhas!
If you, like me, has ever wondered what the large crossed leg sitting man also known as Bhudda" signifies, I will share with you my knowledge ...
"The Holy Bhudda
Bhudda irradiates the wonderful energies of healing, luck, ambulance and happiness eternally"
We then ventured to a beautiful flower market where flowers were so cheap I considered sending them home to friends and family. On to China town to discover beautiful foods and markets.
Back to the new hotel to rest for an hour, before meeting the rest of the group! A little apprehensive.
