Hi everyone,
I have finally made it to an internet cafe so thought i should let you all know how i am getting on.
For starters the plane journey was not fun, 11 hours sitting next to a drunken 'footballer' (i really dont think he was ill ask chris when i get home). Arrived in bangkok safely on saturday teatime, eventually found hotel shuttlebus and made it to the hotel. Decided to raid the mini bar and try to sleep as didnt sleep at all the night before leaving or on the plane.
Sunday morning was transferred to the elephant sanctuary and everything got so much better! It is beautiful here with mountains and a lake and everyone here is so friendly and chilled out. Having a great time with the elephants, they are so intelligent and fascinating to watch. It really is a privilege to spend time with them. The hardest thing so far was the banana harvest yesterday morning, 2 hours of lifting heavay banana trees into the truck in the heat was such hard work but worth it when the elephants got so excited when we got back.
The food is great and im having a great time, so you can all stop worrying (Catherine thats directed at you!)
