Hi everyone,

So I have arrived in Bangkok, its really chaotic and mad but a great place. Its really nice having our fabulous guesthouse to retreat to though, you really wouldnt know we were in the middle of a city, its silent there. We are being really well looked after, i have never eaten so much in my life, think i might put on all the weight i lost at the centre.

It was a bit hectic trying to get here, four of us left the centre on the same day, but taximan didnt want to take me to Uncle Joels (i have no idea why) so he wanted to just drop me off randomly on the other side of Bangkok and expected me to get the skytrain. Luckily one of the guys who left on the same day as me came all the way to Uncle Joels with me before going to his hotel, so i did get there safely.

Yesterday we had a really touristy day, went to the grand palace (picture above) and Wat Pho. It was pretty amazing though, ive never seen so much glitz and gold! Today we went to Jim Thompsons house then a market which was a bit less hectic and rather nice. We have also booked our train tickets to chiang mai for friday night so we are majorly excited about that. Thinking of heading to Kanchanaburi and the bridge oover the river kwai tomorrow and staying the night there which should be interesting.
