Beth´s world trip
then we said goodbye to argentina and crossed (yes another long bus journey) to chile! our first two days we spent in Puerto Montt. apparently they dont have many hostels, so we ended up having two rooms in Nancy's house! a lovely little woman who was giving out business cards at the bus station. it was a bit random but we both got our own rooms with double beds so we didnt complain. after Bariloche, Puerto Montt was a bit of a let down - realistic thats for sure! its a fishing city, not made for the tourists and not nearly as pretty scenery. we did go out to a lovely green lake and see some great waterfalls in the national park though.
after that we took yet another bus to Pucon, which we liked a lot more. very peaceful and pretty. we stayed in Hostel del Lago, which was literally on the lake with an amazing view of the volcano. we were pretty lazy, we didnt fancy climbing the volcano, selina still remembers machu pichu too well, so we spent our time in the hot pools instead! not as natural as we'd like but better then the ones on the tour!
then last night we took our last long bus ride in south america, and arrived in Santiago at 8 this morning. we have 4 days to explore here before the next part of our adventure begins! New Zealand!!
