Today I got up early and went to the Empire state building. Turns out I was a little too eager and had to stand in line for 40 minutes until it opened. The view was pretty spectacular though the smog limited the distance that you could see. I let one of the sales dudes talk me into paying an extra $8 for one of those headphone sets that tell you about everything as he promised it would "enrich your experience". I hate to admit it but it was worth it as it pointed out a lot of famous landmarks. I took a lot of photos but the smog/haze/general s*** in the sky doesn't do it justice.
After Empire Building the next thing was Radio city which was kind a letdown as I couldn't get in. Same with Madison Square Gardens - construction in the NBA off season. Went into the Rockefeller building and wandered around in there for ten minutes - not deliberately I got lost and couldn't get out! Been doing a fair amount of walking, I wandered from 34th St back to 72nd twice during the day, once I stopped in at Columbus Circle where I saw the big CC himself perched in the middle of the roundabout. What a guy! In his honour I went shopping in the circle of his name.
I decided to take in a game of baseball at Yankee Stadium. The stadium itself is amazing, what a place. The baseball, well, it was pretty average. I wasn't a fan before and I'm still not. 3.5 hours it took and the crowd went nuts every time the pitcher struck a pose which was a fair bit. I have to say the atmosphere was brilliant shame about the actual game. The Bronx isn't as ghetto as I thought it would be, it was actually pretty nice which was kind of a letdown but also a good thing!

I'm not jane That's good to hear but are you getting your country's revenge on American sailors by spreading Australian sperm in their ladies?
