One of my favorite things is to travel abroad. Before retirement, my job took me to a variety of technical conferences and meetings in Europe and Japan. I used these opportunities - and some of my vacation time - to learn more about other people and cultures, and to see new sights. Retirement has given me the time to do more of this, focusing on Europe, including to Ireland, Italy, Berlin-Prague-Vienna, and to Paris and northern France.
