Hi all, hope everyone had a nice easter and is recovering from an overdose of easter eggs.
After Nha Trang we arrived safe and sound in Siagon (Ho Chi Minh). This was unexpectedly better than anticipated!! It was alot cleaner and traffic slightly more organised than Hanoi. We spent the first day visiting the sights of the town - sawe the revolutionary palace (old south vietnam prime ministers residence) and the war museum. The day was hot and very humid luckly we have acclimitised a bit!!
The second day we headed out of town to the Chu Chi Tunnels and Ben managed to squeeze into a hidden viet con tunnel with little room to spare!
On the bus once more and over the border to Cambodia we headed, Phnom Pen. Had a very sobering first day going to the killing fields and the S21 prison museum - unbelivable what happened here under the Khmer Rouge only 30 years ago. The city itself is recovering and we are suprised how westernised it is especiall in regards to the food. Today we had a very hot day - mid 30's in the shade and 40 plus in the sun. Maganed to visit the palace and a couple of temples with plenty of breaks and water.
Tomorrow we are off to Seim Reap, we plan to visit Ankor Wat before flying back on Friday. Hope we don't struggle with the cool temperatures at home!!
Hope all is well and will look forward to seeing those in Chch soon.
Luv Nicky and Ben
