Hi all, well we are once again in singapore airport on our way home. From the last entry we took the slowest and most painful bus ride up to Seim Reap - Cambodia. Painful as they had a programme going on the TV that consisted of people shouting constantly in Cambodian at top volume!!!
Seim Reap was even hotter than pervious - you know its hot when the locals are complaining. The worst thing was we had to be covered as we weren't on antimalarials. The town itself is pretty touristy - but had plenty of market shopping. We had an early morning start 0430 on thur to get to the temples for sunrise. Was well worth it though as got to see a resonable amount before the peak heat of the day. Angkor Wat is amazing - still resonably well preserved, after a couple of hours meandering around this we jumped back on our tuk tuk and headed to Angkor Thom, once again impressive however a bit more deterioated. Tended to go in this order as we went. Some had collapsed alot because of the trees growing on the roofs! By 3pm we were pretty nackered and had seen all we wanted to see (pretty solid 9-10 hours) of constant temples so headed back for a rest.
Well we are about 15 mins from boarding so will look forward to catching up with you all soon (either phone or in person).
xx Nicky and Ben
