After our four-hour nap last night, we hustled into the airport with 20 minutes to spare before the plane took off. The flight was quite turbulent, but we were too tired to notice much or care. The German transit is much smoother than that in London. The hotel here is really really nice and it has air conditioning! We didn't have much planned for today, so we broke out the tourist book and found that we were only a 40 minute ride from a German Nazi camp, so we went. It was one of the most disturbing and humbling experiences ever. I (Angela) stand amazed at the cruelty and distruction caused by one nation. I was humbled in seeing how many of our fellow brothers and sisters were killed there. When the memorial closed, we headed out to explore the older side of the city. The architecture was incredible! We had traditional German food at the Hofbrahnhaus. The food was great and the atmosphere incredible. Tomorrow we head out for a castle tour; we will see the castle Disney used as a model for Cinderella's castle.

Martha Awesome! What a contrast in emotions from horrifying and senseless death to beauty and life, glad your day ended with the latter!
Martha Hope you got more than a nap this night! From home: Knoxville actually avoided storms two nights in a row! and predictions are for sunny warm days for a while.
