Rome was awesome... we only had a day and a half to explore but we mangaed to get in the colloseum (actually called the flavian amphetheatre... not the colloseum!!!), the vatican museum and st peters basilica in. The colloseum is awesome, it is too hard to explain without being there, but our guide was cool and told us all the gory stuff about the history, and left out all the usual tourist crap. The food was incredible, we got pizza and pasta from local shops soooo cheap, although Ella managed to set a toaster oven on fire by putting a croissant in it which was too big. Ooopa. Rome is really really dirty, probably becoz of the influx of tourists, but somehow is still so amazing, and every where you look something catches your eye. There is monumental buildings EVERYWHERE, all a stones throw from each other. I have to mention the drivers, the Italians are bloody mental behind the wheel. Think need for speed in real life, thats how they roll. Centimetres from each other, at 60k/h, and they dont stop for anything. psycho. you can tell where schumacher learnt his stuff.
