G'day! Fraid this'll only be short as not got much to report since last time but as I'm on the net I thought I'd update anyway! We went for the meal last night, it was nice. Katrina's boyfriends family come from England so they enjoyed talking to us about home. We went back to their house for tea afterwards before coming to the airport. The flight was not too nice, was delayed by nearly an hour and we were stuck on the plane for the whole time. Apparently they weren't sure if enough fuel had been put in! lol. Very comforting thought, not! So we got into Cairns at 12.30am. Luckily we had no luggage checked in so we were able to go straight to the hostel. We got a taxi there and it only took about 10 mins so not bad. The hostel is pretty nice, even though we booked a 4 bed dorm, they've given us our own room (I even have a double bed! lol) The hostel also has its own swimming pool! The weather here is very humid and its actually raining right now, though not very heavy its still enough to get you soaked! It still amazes me how much the weather varies in one country! Today we are going to get a general feel of the place and find out where everything is using our 'Gay Guide', lol its the only booklet that the woman in the hostel had left, don't expect we'll visit many of the places mentioned in it! lol but the map is certainly useful! Hopefully going to book some snorkelling in the reef but need to check the weather first and pick a good day. Grandma - I'm thinking I should have a word with Cereal Partners and find out exactly where the muesli is stocked! lol. Turning into a big hunt to see who can find it first by the sounds of it! lol.
