Ok, so on Thursday we checked out of our hostel and the put our luggage in at the train station. We then got the train to the harbour and had lunch overlookng the bridge for he last time :0( it was really nice. We got the train at 16.20 from Sydney to Brisbane, it was an overnight train so we got in at 6.30am. The train journey was much better than last week, actually got a few hours sleep! Have THE funniest story for you all when I get back! Its probably the most embarassing thing thats happened to me on this trip lol. We got picked up at the station by Katrina, Ali's friend, and her brother Bill. We then went back to their house and spent a few hours talking and watching tv. Katrina had to work from 11.30-6pm so whilst she was at work we caught up with our sleep and showered etc. When she got home we got fish and chips for diner and in the evening she took us to Mount Coot-Tha which has a good view of the city skylne at night. Today the 3 of us got the train into the city and looked round the shops. We also went on a boat down the river. Tonight we are going for a meal with katrina and Bill, as well as her boyfriend and his family. We are flying to Cairns tonight. Our flight is at 21.25 and we get in at 23.40, so pretty late! We are then going to get a taxi to our hostel. We are in Cairns until Wednesday when we fly back to Brisbane. We are hoping to go snorkelling in the barier reef and go on some boat trips. Hopefully the weather will be good. Its actually raining in Brisbane now, even though it was really sunny before we got here! Hope everyone is well. Keep in touch. Miss you all! Becky xxxx
