Started the day with a coffee and Danish in Discovery Bay Plaza. Next took the ferry to Hong Kong Central. Ferry service is very efficient with ferries leaving promptly every half hour. The weather was dry but overcast which I think is pretty typical for Hong Kong. We took the local bus up to The Peak. We had hoped to get off at the bottom of the tram but we ended up going right to the top. The view was a little disappointing and I would love to see it on a clear day although I suspect that clear days are not that common! We had a sandwich overlooking the Peak Tram then did a little walk. The children found a bamboo sweeping brush and had a lot of fun playing with it! Took the children to a park -the blind are really well catered for with Braille maps and pathways that are risen so that they are very easy to follow.
Whilst we were taking views from the Peak a group of young Chinese girls asked if they could take photos with me and Rachel -very strange.
We finally took the tram back down. It is very steep and in some places the track looked just like a roller coaster. Caught an open top bus back to the ferry terminus and then back too Discovery Bay. Once more ate in the Chinese restaurant that we ate in on the first night and had a very nice meal.
