Started the day with a coffee and Danish in Discovery Bay Plaza. Next took the ferry to Hong Kong Central. Ferry service is very efficient with ferries leaving promptly every half hour. The weather was dry but overcast which I think is pretty typical for Hong Kong. We took the local bus up to The Peak. We had hoped to get off at the bottom of the tram but we ended up going right to the top. The view was a little disappointing and I would love to see it on a clear...

Arrived in China last night -staying on the island of lantau. Great place to stay since far less built up than central Hong Kong. Living like the locals in tiny apartment-don't know how they manage to have any belongings ! Harvey has a bed next to the dining table whilst I 'm sharing a very comfy bed with Gregory! Not much bigger than a caravan and yet they'll keep dogs!
