We started our Road Trip along the Great Ocean Road on 9th January for the next 7 days. We made our way from Melbourne along the coast all the way to Cape Jervis, south of Adelaide where we caught the ferry to Kangaroo Island. After our short 1 night stop at Kangaroo Island we made our way to Adelaide after long 3 hour drive.
We drove in our lovely campervan along the GOR and saw some amazing sights including The Twelve Apostles and the spectacular coastline. We literally drove as far as we could until it got dark and then set up camp.
After catching the ferry to Kangaroo Island we drove to Sal Bay where we saw the wild sea lions and seal on the beaches. They were amazing. We camped the KI Caraven Park in the Flinders Chase National Park where we had wild koalas in the trees above our van and wild wallabies surrounding the whole park. Mark tried feeding one, but it must have liked the smell of his finger as it had a good bite at it!
After our trip to Kangaroo Island we headed north along the coast to Adelaide for 2 nights. One night in the campervan at the a lovely car5avan park along the river where we went for a run and it killed me! The next day we handed back our lovely home and stayed at the YHA for a night as we flew to NZ the next day.
BYE BYE OZ!!! 14th January 2008!
