DAY 30 Nearly exactly 10months after saying goodbye to mum and dad at heathrow i was being welcomed back with hugs and kisses!! mum and i even cried lol. it was the weirdest feeling seeing them again. felt like i hadnt seen them in months but at the same time it felt like only yday if that makes sense. we took the subway back to the hostel which my parents informed me was called the underground in london lol. they had to correct me a few times like reminding me it was pounds not dollars any more lol. we spent that first day having lunch, buying show tickets and walking aound. we managed to get tickets for hairspray which was amazing!! so so funny! i think it was even better than mamma mia on broadway which i never thought i would say!! DAY 31 Spent today taking in all the sights of london with mum and dad. saw the eye, big ben, westminster, buckingham palace and trafalgar square. was great spending time with mum and dad and i got spoiled. i was still really tired i hadnt slept properly since leaving canada not really jet laggd as such but i literally had no sleep from getting up on that last day in halifax to going to bed the day i got into london. after spending all day seeing the sights we headed back to get ready to go see sister act which we'd heard was really good. when we got there we found our seats were in the very back row in the centre upper circle. they were the most uncomfy seats ever!! the view wasnt too bad but when they werent singing we kinda cld just see the tops of their heads and sometimes when they were singing i cldnt make out wot they were singing. still a good show but not anything on hairspray! we had a mcds after cause we were starving then headed back to bed. DAY 32 Todaywas shopping day. we got to oxford jsut after 10 and realised in london on a sundy shops dont actually open till either 11 or 12 so we ended up walking nearly all the way along oxford st till we discovered debenhams was open! it was starting to feel like i'd never been away lol. mum and dad got some clothes then we headed up to hyde park for a walk then to the hard rock for an early dinner. when i was in the states i got an all access card for the hard rock which lets u queue jump so when we got there we were told the wait wld be an hour or more but were seated in about 5 mins which was awesome! so thanks to the waitress who got me that lol. it was my welcome home dinner which was really nce :) we walked back to the hotel and chilled out for the evening eating junk food and watching tv. DAY 33 Last official day of my travels today. we walked to the train station and spent the 5 hour train journey eating, sleeping and with me listening to my ipod and giving dad a lesson on how to work it. saying it was weird to drive back into glenrothes is an understatment!!! nothing was different, everything seemed exactly as it was before i left! i cldnt understand a word that was being said on the taxi drivers radio lol so think i have to get used to the fife accent again! mum and dad had put welcome home signs up for me and balloons which was awesome! tigger got all clingy when i firts got in he nornally fusses if u hold him too long but he was quite content to stay in ma arms. think he missed me lol. my room was the same but i'd forgotten how much stuff i had! it was in dire need to be organised, job for 2morro lol! think it might take a while to get used to everything again!
