Well here we go, I thought I'd write a blog, as well as my journal so you lot have a better idea of my day to day what nots!

I'm currently in Melbourne, it's probably my favourite city in Australia, but not my favourite place..i'd save that for the Whitsunday Islands, Fraiser Island and good old Byron Bay! The thing I like about Melbourne is that it has it's own individula vibe, wheras in Sydney or Brisbane you could be anywhere. I'm a little bit addicted to coffee too, there are so many lovely coffee houses, I can't resist!

Yesterday I took a stroll to my local Salvo shop, which is this massive charity shop full of flipping brilliant things and more books than you could ever read in 3 lifrtimes. I managed to get myself a little job there helping out! I'll not be getting paid for it as I've not got a working visa for Australia, but it will be a good thing to keep me busy and out of trouble! I'm hoping one of the ladies in there wil adopt me for Christmas! I'm currenly staying with an awesome couple that I know from England, they've kindly let me stay here over Christmas while they head back to England. it's helped me out soo much, I was spending so much money on hostels every night, that was where all my money was going! they live right across the road from a beautiful beach, so a lot of my time has been spent there!

oooh I've taken up crochet! Don't laugh. It's a good hobby to have on the road as it easily pack away into my backpack! I'm currently attempting a hat for Isla, but whether or not it fits/stays in one piece/actually looks nice, is another story!

John and Danielle head home to England on Saturday morning! I'll miss them not being here and am a bit jealous of their trip home. It would be nice to see everyone again, I can't believe it's been 3 months since I've seen everyone! i'd love to meet my new little niece Isla too! Well done Dandy and Lee! she's beautiful! Mum and Dandy have done really well keeping me up to date with her, sending loads of lovely pictures, the next bit is to see her on Skype!

I missed the last Skypre session because I had a date with Damon Albarn. No I'm being serious. My niece is definately a lot cuter and will almost certainly end up much more polite than Mr Albarn, but it was an oppertunity not to be missed!Sorry Isla, I'll make up for it! I'll send you a nice hat! (that probably won't make up for it at all)

So it's Christmas next Saturday! i can't really get my head around it. We've had 28-29 degree heat here and it's soo sunny! Melbourne has all it's decorations up, but it just looks strange! Also, they have flipping snowflakes, polar bears and snowmen! they don't even get snow here!

Anyway I hope everyone has a really wonderful Christmas, I miss everyone so much, but I'm so happy to be out here experiencing this! Big love Bxxx
