So we're finally here after what seemed like a very lonnnnng journey, but i survived my first long haul flight i'm proud to say! Managed to watch Bridesmaids & Thor.. and even learnt some basic thai phrases! I was amazed with the inflight entertainment a bit too much!

Arrived in Bangkok around 9.30pm Friday night, went out for dinner & ordered WAY too much, but food was lovely and beer was only 1.50.. bargain!! Planned a quiet night in after dinner to catch up on sleep, but no.. we met 2 guys from our hotel and before we knew it we were off on a tuk tuk (crazy drivers!!) heading to some club, and ended up returning at 3am! Not the quiet night in we'd planned.. haha! But we felt fine in the morning, although i did have a fuzzy tummy almost all day! First time we enter the hotel bar, and good old me manages to smash a wine glass, with everyone staring straight away!

Spent saturday being true travellers, got into a tuk tuk (we're learning to like them) and we headed to Wat Po, the temple of the reclining buddha! Was amazing, got some awesome photos.. although we were freaked out when a monk took a picture of us?! Dont know whether to be honoured or worried lol. We met up with our tour group last night and headed into Koh San for dinner, when it just decided to torentially downpour. The streets flooded within minutes and before we knew it, we were wading through the street rivers in our flip flops! Was scary how quickly it flooded, but we were brave soldiers! In the end, we had some amazing chicken noodle soup off of one of the street stalls, felt like a true local with our chop stick skills! (Still learning...)

Today (sunday) we headed to the MBK Center, AMAZING!! Definetly worth a visit. Bought lots of goodies including the obvious raybans, bags, hareem trousers and cute little buddha & elephant statues! So cheap!! Weather is currently crap, drizzling but its still like 30 degrees! So we're just chilling now til we leave for Krabi on the night train at 6pm tonight! Can't wait for the beaches :) speak soon all! Bex & Charlotte xxx
