Day 5:

Leaving Paris this morning was sad, but nice to know we'll be back. We were picked up be airport shuttle and taken to Charles de gualle airport for our flight to Athens. Such a huge airport. We had gate 64. Had cafe au lait and croissant for the last time.

Bought iPhone charger so I could finally charge my phone. Posted some postcards at La Poste, 4 euro for 5 postcards. Really had to work on my French for this ... Carte stamps for australie sil vous plait.

Boarded our agean air plane and it was so roomy. Got a full meal served with meatballs, rice, salad, breadrolls and cheese ... and a beautiful mousse cake and tea. Very nice and excellent timing coz we really felt like some meat and salad after living on pastries and baguettes in Paris. After our little bit of shopping, our bags have gone from 12-13 kg up to 18 kg.

Arrive in Athens at 5:15 and have airport pickup to get to dorian inn hotel, which was the dodgiest hotel we've seen. We were squash into a tiny room so we decided to check out the restaurant on the rooftop. Wow, the view was amazing. We had uninterrupted view of the acropolis light up beautifully. The music was playing and the atmosphere was gorgeous so we sat up their for dinner. That made Athens more memorable.
