Currently sat at the hotel in Nha Trang which is on the beach. The sun is shining, it is so warm and the beaches are beautiful and the water very clear and blue.
We arrive here yesterday morning following an overnight train from Ho CHi Minh City. We boarded at 8pm and arrived at 6 am. It was a fun experince. 4 in cabin and we had the luxury of air con as well.
So we crossed the border to Vietnam on monday 19th April. Backpacks on our backs and walked through 3 check points and barriers but all went smoothly. Then headed to a town called Chau Doc. The change in country was immediately apparenet and just the amount of scooters was crazy! We spent one night there and wondered around the markets and then went on a motor bike tour up to San Mountain to watch the sun set. It was so much fun. 16 of us in convoy. One way to experience the traffic of Vietnam! Up at the top of the mountain we layed in a hammocks and had a drink. We over looked the beautiful rice fields and mountains - magical.
The day after we set off for Ho Chi Minh City - Saigon. This was another shock. Honestly I have never seen so many bikes in my life. By the end of the two days we cracked crossing roads. The key is to just keep walking otherwise could be there all day! haha.
In Ho Chi Minh we saw the Cu CHi tunnels and the markets. Supposedly very good discount price however there really isn't any room in my back pack at the moment.
Just about to check out and then day in the sun. Then another overnight train to Hoi An.
Take care everyone
