Beki and Steves travels
we went to 'Rotto' today (Rottnest Island) half an hour from Fremantle. after another night of treating the mossies to our succulent pommy flesh we got up early and caught the ferry.
we arrived on the island and hired the cheapest bikes available, the ones with one gear!
the first stop of our cycle tour round the island was a secluded beach, beki went snorkeling and saw an octopus and some coral. the next stop was our lunch break on yet another secluded beach followed by a cool down in the crystal clear blue sea. there various stops along the tour that provided brilliant views of idealic scenery. we also bumped into four quokas, which are native to the island, that were cool.
the tour took most of the day so we lazed about on the beach to wait for our ferry. on the ferry we watched the sun go down again (it never gets boring)
after tea we went to Fremantle prison for a night-time torchlight tour. the tour itself was fantastic, it was fascinating and very spooky. the highlight, thought, was the tour-guide, a pommy who could of been mistaken for Alan Partridge, he was absolutely hilarious! very 'british' in his humour. at times it was only me n beki who were laughin as the foreingers didnt understand his humour (sarcasm etc..)
after this we went back n collapsed into bed just in time for the hungry mossies lol.......
