I know thats a photo from wellington but never mind -I'll start where i left off...

sat the 17th

we got on a bus at rotorua and after being gassed out by the smell of rotten eggs (its a very smelly place - sulphur smell....) we went to the Government Gardens for all of 5 minutes to see a big hole in the ground that had lots of smelly steam coming out of it (really not all that special) before jumping on the bus again and heading out to see some boiling pools of mud which were fairly strange but at the same time pretty cool. then we headed on to see lady knox geyser which when mixed with washing up powder exploded and shot boiling water and bubbles about 20ft into the air. we then headed to Wai o Tapu nature reserve but cos no one was in the mood to walk around a smelly park we sat in the cafe and had a coffee instead! back on the bus and over to our lunch stop where we left the sky divers to get a very white colour while me laura, chloe, amy and riann went on a jet boat ride on the Huka falls around lake Taupo. this was awesome as we were doing 360 degree spins and cruising (if u can call it that) at 80 kilometers an hour! then got picked up and headed onto watch a bungy (definitly going to do one now (oh and so u know.... im now in queenstown and have actually done a bungy which was awesome! didn't freak out til i was upside down and screaming my lungs out!) then we headed to our hostle where we were sharing a room with chole and amy. so we all went to town and bought stuff for tea as well as a lovelybig box of wine (which is called goon for some reason) we had a bit of a fashion show getting ready and then cooked tea and went into town with the boys from the bus. we went to an irish pub (got very drunk) then headed to a club to drink even more! an amazing time was had by all. put it this way... was so good i got to bed at 6!

sunday 18th - was up at 9 for some strange reason - reckon i was still drunk! then went and had breaky at 12 when the hangover kicked in. went into town and for a walk around the lake (not all the way round you understand - this lake can fit the whole of singapore in it plus a bit more!) then came back and chilled out really

monday 19th

we got up and checked out and jumped onto the bus (AT 7AM!!!)we left the girls (me and lau and all the boys continued - scary!) in taupo and we headed onto wellington. we had a drive through the tongarino national park and saw Mt Doom from LOTRs. so very cold! then we headed onto wellington - a very long drive. we went up Mt Victoria thats in wellington and had a drive through the city. after checking into our hostle, we chilled out and put some pics on the internet - check these out on facebook!. had tea with the boys then me woody, joe, chris and mark went up the cable car for a look and then back down for a walk along the harbour front before we headed back to the bar so i could kick woodys ass at pool 3 times in a row! drank some more before saying bye to the boys as they were leaving for the south island while me and lau were staying in wellington for a couple of days.

tuesday 20th

had the nicest lie in EVER! slept in til like 10 am was brilliant especially after getting up at the crack of dawn all the other mornings since we arrived in NZ. we got up did a load of washing and then headed out for breakfast/lunch and then went for a wander. posted stuff back home then went for a walk on the harbour front. we went to Te Papa which is the national mumeum of NZ and as educational as that was, we were shattered so didnt really stay too long before heading back round to the superduper market and a chilled out night.

wed 21st

got up and headed into town to play on the cable car. we then headed for a walk around the botanical garden as well as a walk through CUBA which was a part of town that was pretty cool. we came back to the hostle and met up with amy and chloe so we hung out with them and then met lauras mate from uni (zoe) in the hostel bar for pizzas and a drink or 2. early night as we were going to be gettingthe ferry to the south island the next day.

thursday 22nd

up and out early for the ferry across to south island. was a 3 hour ferry that seemed to take a lifetime to cross. so we then jumped off and onto a bus in picton that was going to take us to our next stop which was nelson. from here we decided to book a day trip to able tasman national park which was supposed to have beautiful beaches and stunning scenery. we headed to the hostle (free breaky and free choc pudding at night!!!!!!!) and then headed into town to get stuff for lunch for our hike (13 km in 4 hours-hmmmm a bit dubious!) then went back for tea and pud before getting an early night.

so im going to leave it there for a bit. same again tomorro i think xxx
