Retired & Traveling
We went to an early breakfast and while we were eating, they came on the intercom and said that we would be delayed an hour due to fog. However, we were supposed to be out of our room by 8:00 a.m., so we got our bags and headed down to where we were supposed to wait for disembarkation. The place was PACKED! It was utter chaos and even though we were told we would be in the last group of walkers carrying their own bags, they told us to go ahead and get in line. The line wound all around the lounge area, back out into the main hall and then out to a walkway. About 4 other lounges were feeding into our line, so we had a nice little wait. Once outside, Mike went to get the car and then it was easy getting out of there. It only takes about 30 minutes to get to our apt. from the port, which is really nice. Especially since we were talking with some people who live in west Texas, and she was saying that they had to catch a flight to Dallas, then connect to a flight to Abilene, then drive for 2 hours to get home. Yuck! Made our day seem so much easier. And carrying our own bags was not that big of a deal, although Rich did carry my 2nd bag for me, he's such a sweetie! :))
We had a great time and signed up already to do another trip...can't wait!
