Early walk and a bit of work for Baz.
Very difficult to keep track of days whilst we are on the road. It would have been very easy to forget that it was Fathers Day. Thanks for the foldable solar panels and lovely seafood dinner guys.
We left the dinosaur triangle to head for the QLD Coast. Fuel consumption was ordinary early with a bouncy road and head wind, settled down later on.
On the way we stopped at Charters Towers for lunch in the caravan. Things very quiet on a Sunday in the outback however we managed to go for a walk and marvel at some of the old buildings. It is easy to see the wealth in the area from the late 1800's when this town was Australia's richest major goldfield.
We then made it to Townsville, setup camp, shopped for fathers day, before hitting The Strand for dinner. The waterfornt was abuzz with people (and Pokemon Stops). We can't wait to explore this further over the next couple of days.
