Hello world!
We ve bin in surfers for about 10 days now but we ve come to the end of an era! Well.........kind of! Today we found a flat and are moving in tmr, its big spacious and cheap...b-e-a-utiful. So we thought we'd put in an entry for our stint in surfers minus living and job hunting. So here goes ....
We arrived on the 24th of feb and settled into our new hostel, the friendly surf n' sun, quickly. We were but a hop skip and an ever so small jump away from a lush beach and the sun was shining so morale was high! After a quick explore Sedge was drawn with extreme ethusiasm toward king tutts putt putt mini golf with delusions of himself demolishing Joey and Bav all in time for tea! Sadly these delusions were true, though fun was had by all! Our first nite out consisted of a funnel, some cheap beer and general rowdiness! The rest of our week continued in similar fashion, with our days spent lounging on the beach and our evenings spent either chilling out or heading into the heart of the lively nightlife! As ppl in our room began to come and go, we began to realise we'd made quite a few friends from all parts of the world! From two german nutters to two irish lasses to a large english man (who looks suspiciously like a bear...) who is officially the loadest snorer in the world. At one point it sounded as if we had a rocket ship in our room. We ve even had a didgeridoo in our rm for the past two nites!
On one particular nite out, Bav and Sedge were on their way home (joe was otherwise engaged in the kebab shop) when suddenly we became embroiled in a police chase! the two strapping young stallions sprang into action at the officers request and chased down the miscrient while the officer panted behind. As we caught up with him he stopped and was swiftly apprehended in forceful fashion by our richard coyle paced police officer! We were thanked for our quick thinking and bravery!!! Bav and Sedge are heroic vigiliantes while Joe still maintains the kebab was worth the absence!
Due to the excess of beach action theres not much else to report that is vastly out of the ordinary! We'll probs be heading to a couple of theme parks at some point and we re hoping to catch the gold coast titans (gold coasts rugby league side) in actions soon aswell!
We move into our flat tomorrow so the journal entries may become slightly rarer as we'll be here for a while, however the photos will keep coming and we'll update you all on all goings on regularly!! Hope everyones well!
Take it easy, love Bav, Joey and Sedge x
