So we have come to the end of the journey in Kuala Lumpur. It has been a very good experience. KL was so much nicer than Singapore, being alot more vibrant and hip and happening apart from the dodgy smells coming from the sewers which is why Louise had a Rat cross her path! Is that good/bad luck at all? It has been quite noisy at night where we have been staying from the fire crackers going off for about 10mins thinking we had been invaded to the sweeping up at 4am and the honking of horns till all hours in the morning!
Today we headed back over to the KL Towers after our unsuccessful attempt the previous day only to be told we would have to go back at 4pm as thats when they were issuing tickets for, typical, so we booked some tickets for 6pm and headed off for some lunch. Then we plodded off to the Central Markets which was 2 floors of local Arts and Crafts, yes more shopping I know, but there really isn't much else to do in KL, once you have seen the sights that seems about it without going out of town. Its generally just looking at Temples etc. We then decided to call the rents to let them know we were safe and to hear their reassuring voices. We also made a grand decision to try and find a local doctor to have a good old feel and check of Louise's Legs cause I had dragged her here there and everywhere and had by this point were getting quite bad and had swollen to twice the size and now looked liked a lepor so thought we should get them sorted before China or else they might amputate her legs! After numerous attempts to explain to the malayians what we wanted; a doctors, a hospital, a pharmacy but not a pharmacy, a travel agents pointed us in the right direction of a Clinic, it seems none of the above mean anything to them. Oh well so we finally get Lou sorted and as she starts to rattle from all the pills we head back again over to the Towers, third time lucky!! Got some cracking night views of the tower and retreated back to the hostel to upload photos and get ready for the off the next day.
