I am gonna try to make this fast cause I just got to my friend Laura's house a little while ago and the dinner she is making is almost ready. Today I went to Muir Woods, Napa, and Calistoga, before ending up at Laura's in Sacto. Muir Woods was nice. It's where my mom's ashes were scattered a long time ago, so it's always nice to go back there. From there I went to Napa. Napa itself if pretty small, as was Calistoga. I liked Napa more than Calistoga, but the best part was the drive from Napa to Calistoga. The vineyyards are pretty, and there are some gorgeous wineries along the way. Too bad I don't like wine because they all offer free samples. I haven't been to Laura and her husband Kevin's house yet. It's really really nice and not much more expensive than my house in Colorado. Hmmm....I really miss living in the bay area. I've been thinking of moving back in a few years. Moving away from my family again would suck, but I love it here and my very best friends are here. Well, one is in Kansas now, but the rest are in California. Even Rachel wants to move back to the bay area, so she'd be nearby too. I'd have a lot to figure out...I am going to grad school to get licensed in mental health counseling and I know I can get licensed in Colorado, but I will need to check California's requirements. Anyway, it's just an idea and it wouldn't happen for a few years. Just being here reminds me of how perfect it is...you have San Francisco, which is as urban as you can get. Gorgeous beaches, and country areas (Napa is only an hour from Frisco) and lots of gorgeous scenery. What's not to like? Last night I ended up going to Mel's Drive through for dinner again and then noticed an AMC right next door. I can't even remember the last time I went to a movie, so I went to see Twighlight since I loved the book so much. It was...interesting. Not horrible, but definitely not worth the $10. Then again, seeing a movie in San Francisco is always worth it cause the theaters are so cool. Okay, I'm gonna go now cause I am only at Laura's for the night and I don't want to be rude by sitting on the computer all not. Tomorrow is off to Santa Barbara with a stop in Mountain View to see a friend. I don't want to go back down to southern California!! And I don't want to go back to Colorado either. Oh well...I'm sure that as soon as I get back I will start planning and saving for the next trip. Where should I go next? I really want to do Italy and Spain, but that involves saving so much more than, say, a trip to Portland and Seattle. Decisions, decisions.
