Ah, Concepcion - great name. Rolled in to town late, taxi'd to the local square, strolled up to where the hostal is supposed to be - above a shopping mall, or galeria. But it's about 7 at night and the mall is shut, shutters down. Walk round the block, can't see a way in. Then chat to one of the vendors nearby, as the street is alive with people, who shows us how to get in to the mall. Step 1. Step 2 - buzzing the hostal on the intercom - no answer. In the end ...

Buenos Tardes First, well done if you didn't fall for my April Fool Blog - and if you did, oh well. The journey continues - travelled a whole day from the Island of Fiji, to Auckland, NZ - got a half empty 747 so had a row of seats to ourselves, watched Twilight....cool. Then, on to Santiago....thanks to crossing the dateline we arrived before we left NZ after a 10 hr flight - but with no sleep. I watched Yes Man and Little Miss Sunshine....Yes Man is immediate...

So that was the Yasawa islands - ferry it back through the storm, hop a bus and back to the hotel....with a little walk and a sausage roll or two in the meantime. Pesuade the cackling laundry ladies to clean our clothes in less than 24hrs....that took some doing.....internet then pack and bed. Bye Fiji, S America tomorrow. Thanks for having us. Highlights.....little/no electricity for a change and very serene, calming laid back atmosphere. Very friendly people....

Finish the islands at a most touristy spot.....like a huge club here. Doesn´t help that it is tipping it down most of the time and we spend the evening drinking and dancing....lots of younger people here. Dorm sleeps about 100! Was slightly away in the roof, an amorous couple came to stay near us the night, rocking the bloody floors at 530 in the morning. I was very British and of course said nothing. This island would have been great in the sunshine, but time...

More relaxing, but clouds keep covering that sun. Boat it here, then dump bags in the dorm of about 20 people, and go for lunch. Oh, there´s a dinner ´bell´as they beat out a rhythm on a log. Cool. People are nice here, bigger island, many more visitors than before. Similar setup but on a bigger scale. Spend much of the time relaxing in a hammock on the beach...read 3 books in a day....or something. At night there is great entertainment....some shows, singin...
