Ah, this is what it´s all about. Free transfer in the morning to our boat - a big seacat ferry. Four hours on the boat and time enough to arrange all accomodation on board. All meals included at the resorts, no cashpoints out here so all prepaid - left the big bags at the hotel and travelled light. Easy. Head out to Nacula, and taxi boat across from the ferry to the island and we are in paradise. There are only 4 other people staying here, all Brits so get chatt...

So we travel from Auckland.....fly to Fiji....no problems. long day, though....not much to do in Auckland airport.....bring a book. Get to the airport, some guy tries to book us accomodation....when we know we can do it through our ´Bula Pass´and South Sea adventures, who we were travelling the islands with. So, the circle is complete - one island, 2 weeks, loads of adventures.....which will be documented in due course....promise. Heading North today, no surprises now except our weird bus driver, Phillipa. Stop off at Matamata, then Bulls, then to a different hostel than before....very nice but roommates could have been tidier/quieter. Take a stroll around town, do some book swapping, go to the lake, have a beer and some dinner...bed.

So driving to Wellington, Josh our driver, bets us that we´ll see a trout fisherman on a particular stretch of river in Turangi....we don´t, he owes us a beer (which we collect later on). Stop off at another national park - do a beautiful 2 hr walk in the shadow of Mt Doom and another volcano-mountain. This is a prime place for skiing in the winter, apparently.
