Hello E & D. Thought it time I brought you both up to date with all the news from this part of the world. WHAT NEWS? did I hear you say. Have been at Mick's for three weeks and thank goodness both cats were still alive and kicking when they arrived back from Oz and all those other exotic places. Fish were still swimming about as well. Gill came across to see me a couple of times and went to Sam's for a sleep-over, also lunch one Wednesday with Sam and Co.plus about 60 other foster children and their foster parents. A couple of trips to Blue water and of course the obligatory shopping expeditions to ASDA. Anyway back home again now and back to normal. Pleased to know that you had a good birthday Dave. Not sure what I think about the tattoo. Will decide when I see it. I understand that you are both earning a bob or two. Good for you. Should keep the wolf from the door for a little while. It's still very wintry here, not much sign of spring weather yet, but I am sure it will come some time. Take good care of yourselves and enjoy Lots of love G/Ma xxxxx

Well it's late sunday morning and we have been celebrating Dave's 24th. On fri aft Dave got an amazing tatto of his Yella symbol in the middle of the bottom of his back. It looks so good, for those fo you a littl shocked he has been thinking about it for ages now and it means so much to him. Fri night we went out for a lovely Thai meal and drinks after, today we went to lawn bowls all dressed in white, we looked so funney, although I must say Dave and me looked pritty daper!! Phots will be up next week, mr Tabiner!!!

Ramdom Sam!!! I'm hurt!!!
As well, i'm sorry to hear about your mate. my condolances to all the family.
Your still Mr Smoooooooooooth by the sounds of it!!! At least somethings don't change, much like your Tan!!!!
So you up for a bit of a laugh on a Sunday afternoon, and from what happened to Tommy, maybe even a broken leg!!! (it wasn't quite broken just badly sprained, sorry i'm being melodramatic!)
Between you and me I think Danny's getting a bit bored, he needs some competition for top spot!!! He even thinks he can come back and play for the Mighty Filo's in March, the cheek of it!!! (I think we might need him at the mo though, don't tell him or it'll go to his head!!)
Whats happened to all the photo's, I want to see the luxurious surroundings you are currently dwelling in, and the Oasis of Tranquility that is your work!! Am I close?
Seriously, it's all going a bit slack, the journals are all well and good when you can be bothered to read, but you know me, I'm a picture man!!!
Glad to hear you had a good valentines, happy birthday for next month sometime.
Oh and we got robbed and the laptop was nicked so most of me Yella stuff has dissapeared, I'm praying I had quite a bit on me main comp, but a bit of a set back on the web site front i'm afraid!
Still when I find out who it was you can bet your bottom dollar they won't be able to use a keyboard for much longer! I've got D.I Pete on the case but personally I'm not holding out much hope. Oh well S*^T happens eh...
As the great Jerry Springer would say (kind of!), Enjoy the sun, and Each other!!!

Dear David and Ellen, I thought it was time that I put something up on your message board but as we speak so often now I guess I don't really feel the need, but here goes. Well it's Saturday morning and the end of February is fast approaching. I really don't know where the time goes. Of course, that means that March is fast approaching and a special day for you David, another year older. There is something winging it's way over the ocean from me and Alyson and you are not allowed to open until your birthday!! Not everything is for you - stop dropping your bottom lip - it will become self expanatory when you open the parcel. Ellen, it wil be in your interest to make sure you are there when the parcel is opened!! I have just read your message from the 14th February, you old romantic, just like your Dad, so thoughtful and loving. I had a dozen red roses delivered to me at work and have no idea who on earth would waste money on sending me flowers. I have only ever received flowers from Dad but you can be sure I'm not on his list any more, sooo, maybe someone just sent them for a laugh. Who knows? I am driving over to see G'ma who is still house and cat sitting at Micks since noone else apart from Sam has bothered to visit. England and Scotland are playing rugby this afternoon so I will get over in time to watch with G'ma. I have a bet on with a Scotsman that England will win so I hope they do. Alyson is off to Dad's and to see her friends today and she is going to IKEA - a special outing for her!! Can't think of much else to say so bye for now will talk to you soon. Loads of love, Mum xxxx

Hey guys! Happy belated birthday Ellen, nice of Dad and G/ma to let me know, wasn't it?! It's getting warmer here now and it is light until 5-ish which is nice. It's half term next week so feet up time. Forst started Cubs last night and Nat is now in army cadets, so all sorted and settled (for now). We've booked our holiday, a week in France, can't wait! Take Care and GET JOBS!!!!! PS I think it was a bit of a shock for Aly to start work again, but she's doing ok PPS Did I mentions Aly's seeing a boy?........Watch this space! Love Sam xxx

Hey Barker family, seems your the only ones who message, just like to say thanks and we appreciate that. Thank you G'ma I had a lovely birthday weekend, out on Friday with Dave for a couple of drinks ended up with dancing to the live band with some friends. Saturday night Dave had organised a meal out at a beautiful restaurant on the beach where i had the most wonderful duck ever! I was given an amazing white gold dimond ring, on the backpacker budget of course, and a card with a lovely poem. Isn't he great! Thanks for bringing him up so well, or girls bullying him to treat ladys right! Dave was sorry to hear about Glen, I think it shocked him more than he thought, we have had good talks about it though.
Well done Aly for getting a job, I am still unemployed as door to door sales was definately not my thing! Have some interviews today and tommorrow for cafe work so fingers crossed. Hope you are keeping well, keep in touch
Lots of love Ellen

Hello there. Happy Birthday Ellen. Hope you have had a great day. How's life out there in the sunshine? Spoke to Gill today and she told me that David has a job. That will help to keep the wolf from the door for a while. I quite forgot that you are hours ahead of us and I should have sent this yesterday. Never mind. Have two days of celebrations instead of one. Not much to report from here. It's very cold and I shall be much happier when it warms up just a bit. Off to Mick's on Thursday looking after the cats and fish whilst they take three weeks holiday in your neck of the woods. I doubt if you will meet up though as they are doing the Cairns, Ayers rock Sydney trip, a definite whistle stop tour. Take care of yourselves Love G/Ma xxxx .
