Hello Miss Barbra, I hope Melbourne is being kind to you. It's a lovely city but their winters can be a bit nippy ... mid winter will be like Aberdeen in July. Sydney is still warm and dry. The last rain was when you were here! Trust the job is going OK. And the flat. And the love-life. ENJOY! Love, P.

Hi Babs, hope you are well! I had a lovely evening with your family at the weekend. We went to see Sophie in My Fair Lady - it was very good! It was also nice to see Granny and Papa, it's been a very long time, they looked very well. I didn't get up to wave goodbye to your Dad or Sophie (far far far too early for me). I was in Aberdeen on Saturday day getting my haircut and I got a good trawl round Primark - happy days. Your mum was filling me on all the news from you guys, glad you are getting settled. Things are all fine at this end, the weather continues to disappoint, it was quite pleasant and sunny yesterday (still baltic but sunny) but today it snowed. I tell you, hopping on a plane to Oz gets more appealing by the day! Any way doll, you take care and keep enjoying yourself. And post some more pictures, make me jealous! Love Ruth xxx

Hi Barbra Good news about your job. Okay so telesales is not the best but at least you will be able to feed yourself and relax knowing you finally have an income. I hope the customers are kind to you. Remember not to lose you cool if they are rude!
We are going to Haddo tonight to see My Fair Lady (Sophie is singing and dancing in it) She has really enjoyed being part of the Junior Haddo Theatre Group but as always has too much on with dancing and music too! She is definately learning to drive at 17, I am exhausted with all the taxi driving. She is going to Italy tomorrow (Sunday) skiing for a week and is really excited about that. We have to get her packing done today as it is an early start tomorrow - they leave at 7.15am but I will be on my second run of the day by then - Dad is off to Houston again and his flight leaves at 6am so he will need his "taxi" for 5am. Last time he went away he used the local guy (the one you used to use and never had any money to pay so he came to the house to get us to pay your taxi bills?) Anyway, he had to collect dad at 4.30am as he was picking up another guy on the way to the airport. He got lost and thought the other passenger lived in Pitmedden but it turned out he lived even further north than us so had to double back to pick him up. Needless to say, Dad was almost late for his flight and I am back to doing the taxi runs again! After that it will just be me and the dog for a few days then on Friday I am going to Edinburgh for the WE to see Ben (who is looking for an e-mail from you). Not sure how I will get on by myself - it has been so long but I am sure by the end of the week I will be enjoying the peace and quiet!
Hope the job goes well - congratulations to Nick on the offer from the Olympic Committee no doubt he will be mulling over the thought of training for another 2 years but he did so well it is a pity to give up. Training in Melbourne - what an opportunity. Write soon love to you both Mum xx

Hey Bella, this was a great idea of mine. I can keep in touch with Pammy-Sue and also say thanks to Linda for the hen's eggs I purchased last time I was at yer Ma's. Lovely fresh free range eggs Linda made a lovely scrambled egg, John was very impressed. I believe you have internet access in your new pad, should step up the contacts and photos of the good Sydney Harbour bridge. I will phone you it seems to be the best way. I know you are busy Sweetness, hope the audition went ok and that you have at last unpacked. Hope you don't need to iron much. Be good. LOL GM xxx

I hear you have a flat Miss Babs, send me your address if you can please. I was speaking to Mum she was delighted to get the nice email with the young man showing his wares. Was he at the Commonwealth Games? It would be good to see some photos, perhaps Nick can take over the management of this site now that he has hung up his trunks. Hazel has a new house in Rosyth. Granny, Papa and Auntie Nancy are coming for dinner tomorrow as it is Mother's Day, so will need to do a light clean and keep the lights low. Hope you are well and say hi to Nick and Claire.

Hi Babsie,
It was brilliant watching Nick swim in the final, last night. We were yelling at the TV ... shame he didn't get the bronze ... but hey, a fantastic achievement to finish 4th in the whole Commonwealth.
Hope you're both enjoying Melbourne. It is less frenzied than Sydney. (Well, maybe not at the moment but give it a week or two ...)
Have fun.
Love, Pam and Liam x x x
