Lazy morning today, followed by lunch at a local cafe and and an afternoon drive back to the lovely Trentham Estate on the banks of the Murray River to sip delicious chilled red wine and eat a platter of cheese, dried fruit and olives outside on the lawn.
Back to our campsite and another magical late afternoon watching the sunlight light up the river in front of us. We could both get used to this...
Gadi took Cadbury out for a quick paddle on the kayak but soon brought him back to sit with me on the pontoon and he went for a longer paddle.
He spoke to a film crew shooting footage here in this park to find out what show it was and turns out it's for What's Up Down Under, a channel 10 production about caravanning that airs on Saturday afternoons.
The light is so lovely at this time of day - the trees and reeds reflect the sunlight and the river itself is bathed in a golden hue. As evening approaches the birds gather to fish and glide by, seemingly also enjoying this peaceful time of day.
I stayed outside until it got too cold and my nose felt frozen to the bone. I made a coffee chocolate chia pudding and put it into the fridge to set.
Just as I was cooking dinner we discovered that the park management was putting on a BBQ for the TV production crew and park residents so we were invited to come and share in the dinner of BBQ meat and lots of salads. My dinner can be saved for tomorrow night - no cooking, yay!
We sat outside for a while with the others around a camp fire enjoying our communal meal until we felt too cold and made our way into our warm little home on wheels.
Night night xx
