Another beautiful day in sunny Paris. A morning trip up to Sacre Coeur and a wander through Montmartre. More macaroons consumed and a lot of stairs climbed as it's on the top of a hill. We headed back towards home to the park behind our hotel - the Luxembourg Gardens. Full of people, families, young people and oldies enjoying the sunshine and expanses. Little boats were floating on the pond and grass police were blowing their whistles and herding people off the pristine grass and onto the designed 'people's grass.'
After that we decided to get a quick bite at 'quick burger' or 'French McDonalds'. Note that maccas is over the road. Quick does not hold up to many of it's promises. Firstly it was not quick - our server should have had a trainee badge. Second, Matt's 'giant' burger was hardly that, in fact, my 'supreme cheese' was heaps bigger. Not sure if it was a positive or negative but you are required to salt your own chips. Basically maccas is better and even the burgers are better at hungry jacks!
In the evening we went down to the river to watch some mixed Latin style social dancing. Apparently they usually run a workshop but there wasn't tonight. We walked back along the river, the nights are still warm - I don't even take a cardigan. We ate more macaroons to finish the day!
