How are you? We've just been catching up with your news and travels. We think it's fascinating to hear all about what it's like in Africa. Did you bungy jump? It certainly looked like you in the photo. Which was your favourite animal you have seen so far? Have you had any frightening experiences with the animals in Africa? This afternoon we are going to plant our hyacinth bulbs and then take them home. The money this raises is going to Starfish Malawi. Please let us know how the schools are improving in Malawi. Are you there yet? We loved the photos with the rainbows in them, very clever photography!! Has the weather been sunny all the time?
We are starting Judo soon. Last week we went to Bedgebury Pinetum for a team building and shelter making day. We had lots of fun. Tomorrow 4 of us are going to the Cafe Royal in London for a National Student Voice Conference. We're going on the train. It will be very exciting.
We hope you are still having a fantastic time. Please come to see us when you return.
Love from Mrs Penfold and Class 4

Dear Rosemary & Bill
Just received your latest card and we are enjoying keeping up with all your exciting travels. I'm sorry to say we don't keep up with them enough as we always seem to run out of time. I am going part time in January (2 days a week) and have a new secretary in the office who is very good. Marie Jose went back to Canada at the end of July and we have a new NQT in Class 2. We have just received our bulbs to plant to raise money for Starfish Malawi and I'm sure the children will enjoy this project. We are also giving our Harvest collection to Starfish and last term we allowed the children to dress in their team colours while the world cup was on provided they donated money to Starfish so yoiu can see we are still actively supporting them. When and if you get to see them all please send our warm wishes from everyone at Pluckley School.
I'm not sure when you are due back but please do come and see us.
love from Christine and everyone at Pluckley

Dear Rosemary and Bill
Thanks for your last postcard, hope all is going well still. We have had a very wet August. I thought of your visit to us
on August Bank Holiday last year, amazing to think you have been away just a year now. Just had a look at your
postcards on the website, what an experience for you to see so much. I'm O.K.- look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hope the fridge is fixed by now. I hear Angela and Anthony were planning to arrive here Aug 14th, but not heard from
them yet.
Good luck and take care of yourselves. Love from Michael.

Hello Bill & Rosemary
Thanks for your card, it sounds as if you are having a great time and doing exactly what you intended. You would not recognise Ollyers Folly. At the moment its just a big building site. Its being extended both to the right and left and we think completly gutted inside. Who's going to live in it is a mystery. When I last spoke to Bill Piper he wasnt sure if he or one of his daughters were going there.
I does'nt seem over a year since you left. Roy opposite in Brankway has sold his bungalow and now lives with his son in Lincolnshire. We go on holiday next week to San Diego quite tame compared to wild Africa!!
Will talk to you again soon
Keep safe and keep applying the sun screen!!!
