Dear Rosemary & Bill,
A very happy New Year to you both. Can't quite believe it has been a year since I last sent you a message, Christmas day 2006. Haven't been on your website for sometime so have much catching up to do.
What a fantastic time you must be having to still be in Africa. 'Wanderers of the African continent'. Michael keeps me up to date with little bits of information here and there, like tasters! It will take us hours to read all your news but so interesting, we will be completely absorbed. John lived in Zambia for two years (1975 - 77) so will be particularly interested in that area. We will be visiting South Africa in March so any info we can get on that part of the world will be a great help, as we have never been there before.
Wishing you all the very best, Lindsey & John.

Hi Bill & Rosemary
Still reading about your wonderful journey. It reminds me of my times in Africa whenever I look at the website and see the photos!!!
Mike tells me you are coming back in April - Is that true ?
Hope you had a really good Christmas out there - we had a nice time here. Happy New Year to you too !!
Mich is due in 3 weeks and I have my knee op in 3.5 weeks - I just hope the baby arrives first so I can be of more help. I will keep you posted.
Look forward to seeing you in 2007 ( or 2017 if you do a Mike !!)

Rosemary and Bill,
Thanks for the postacrds, we all read them avidly when they drop through the door. Are you guys ever coming back? I ask this because I went to Africa once, Malawi in fact, for a 3 week holiday and ended up staying 10 years - enchanting, compelling, ruggedly beautiful land of contrasts - maybe Africa will capture you too and you'll stay. Have you seen the Jacaranda trees yet? They bloom around now I think before the rains set in central Africa, bright purple, most of those old colonioal towns have avenues of them down the main streets.
Bill, David and I charged the battery and turned over your old landrover the other day. Its all OK but you are aware the tax ran out months ago. You are supposed to do a SWORN statement these days to DVLA to tell them its not on the road. I will phone them for you. Also had a call from Kent firearms to say that your certificate has expired! Nothing to worry about here, I assured them that the articles in question where being kept under a proper ticket, which they were happy with, but you will need to re-apply when (if) you return.
Keep us posted, continue the adventure - you lucky people. Kindest regards Mike and family.

joke
A tourist is visiting Africa when his car breaks down. He jumps out and starts fiddling under the hood. About five minutes later, he hears some thumping sounds and looks around to see someone taking stuff out of his boot! He runs around and yells, "Hey, mate, this is my car!" "OK," the man says, "You take the front and I`ll take the back."
all the best

Hi Bill & Rosemary !!!!
It was really nice to meet you in Lilongwe. Do you still enjoy Malawi? We're now in Livingstone...went today to the beautifull falls !!! In South Luangwa we stayed at "Flatdogs" (they arranged our visa) and had a unbelievable accident....early in the morning whiles Bob had a shower and Baukje was standing next to the car...the famous "naughty elephant" smashed with his tuskers our back window in one thousand pieces !!!! We thought......Oh my God...and Bill & Rosemary even warned us...... But the people from the campsite helped us very nicely with putting in a wooden back window and now we defenetly have a very good story to tell....don't you think so? Unfortunately no (male) lion or leopard....try to find them monday in Chobe !!!!
