Now in Cape Town. All good things must come to an end and there have been quite a few tears over the last couple of days as 1 by 1 we go our separate ways. But the last week has yet again been amazing. We have climbed Dune 45 in Sossusvlei and watched the sun rise... quite literally the hardest fitness test I've every done. There was a race from the campsite of over 30 vehicles to get to the dune. We overtook everyone in our overlander and were the first vehicle arriving at 6.20am. We legged it out and up the dune as quickly as we could to get the sunrise at 7am ... I was 3rd up!!! So amazing climbing an untouched dune but so flaming hard to do. We then went on to Fish River Canyon, the 2nd largest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon, very impressive and has made me want to see the States one even more. Then it was on to South Africa our 7th country in 6 weeks staying at a brilliant camp site one the banks of the Orange River. A few of us swam across the river which actually means crossing the border back into Namibia (without a passport). In the evening we had a towel party to celebrate the end of tour. Best let the photos explain that night. Surfice to say it was a brilliant night. Now in South Africa we have had a wine tasting at our last campsite which turned into another end of tour party (more tears). On arrival at Cape Town we had a township tour which was very interesting. Now we are doing our own thing. I am here till Thursday 7th then off to Australia - new adventure!
